Last month, Dior opened its door to a new Baby Dior and Dior Kids boutique on rue Royale in Paris. The boutique looks amazing featuring Dior’s signature grey moldings blended with soft painted hues. The newest collection for Dior Kids consists of bright colored dresses, dark suits, shoes in soft shades which stands out against a décor that evokes the discreet charm of a family home, including an old fireplace and walls adorned with China.
The Baby Dior room is my favorite, it is set up in a cocoon-like children’s room atmosphere, which includes a sky ceiling painted by artist Mathias Kiss, and a window through which one seems to catch a glimpse of the rose garden in Granville where Christian Dior grew up.
The visit ends upstairs, at the top of a staircase reminiscent of the elegant and legendary one of 30, avenue Montaigne, with the evening wear and special event pieces. At this new Dior address, the whole world of 30, avenue Montaigne comes alive, perfectly scaled for children.
