mini: What are a few of your favorite brands for Ryan?
Tracy: We love the kids line from Zara. Really that’s the staple brand that she wears head to toe because it’s moderately priced and smartly designed – the line is literally a shrunken version of the adult line. I also love picking up staple items from Gap, Old Navy, H&M and Target and we’ll occasionally shop at Crew Cuts. Joe’s Jeans makes really great denim shorts and we are obsessed with all the Yeezus tees for kids that we can get our hands on. I also love Stella McCartney Kids and Mini Rodini. And of course, a rhyla headband for every single outfit, especially because she isn’t walking around in ruffles and pink, it’s a simple style statement that keep her still looking just a little bit girly.
mini: How much do you spend on Ryan’s closet per month?
Tracy: To be honest, not a lot. I would say less than $100. Sometimes, we’ll go a few months without even shopping since we get tons of gifts sent for Ryan. She grows so fast we try to keep our shopping very moderate since she spends so much time at home during the week. When she does go out on her daily walks, to pre-school 2 days a week (where she’ll get really messy), or out with us on the weekends, we always try to keep her casual and comfortable. I learned from making the huge mistake of buying too many things when she was born that she would outgrow something before we even had a chance to put it on her, so now we just buy as we need or if I come across something that I become obsessed over.
