Earlier this month, I hosted a surprise baby shower for my good friend Anna with the help of friends Janice and Yun at Gymboree Play and Music of Tribeca. Thanks to Gymboree Play and Music for sponsoring the space for the baby shower, we had the whole space to ourselves and the minis had a great time playing in the indoor playground. The playground is pretty amazing, it was designed by playground designer Jay Beckwith- super roomy and the kids were free to move, play and explore safely without the adults worrying. Definitely a great spot for kids parties!
Since Anna is having a boy, I decided to go with an Animal Parade theme, the blue, white and yellow colors fit perfectly for a baby boy. For the party theme, I looked to Chasing Fireflies for inspiration. I translated the Animal Parade birthday party theme to fit the needs of a baby shower, it was easy and fast. From the spinning carousel centerpiece to the wall decorations and tableware, everything can be found on the site. Besides all the cutesy decorations, my two favorite things were the carousel cupcake holder and ferris wheel cupcake holder, all the kids loved it too! Big thanks to Chasing Fireflies for all the party stuff! The dessert table was decorated by yours truly, I think I’m getting pretty good at it ha (jk).
Also, can’t forget about the gift bags- thanks to Elizabeth Arden, Organic Doctor, Freeman Beauty, Happy Family and Chasing Fireflies for the goodies. Lastly, many thanks to our favorite photographer, @mryumingwu for all the fun memories! For more updates, follow @minilicious on Instagram.
