First off I want to thank each and everyone one of you guys for the continued support through this past year. It’s been a wonderful journey and a great learning process as I do not have kids yet. I hope you guys will continue to support mini:licious and grow with me. This year bigger and better things will be happening, can’t wait to share with you all!
Last week (January 25th), I hosted a party to celebrate the first anniversary of mini:licious and it was a blast! Thanks to NY Kids Club Tribeca for sponsoring the space, the club is just about 1.5 years old so everything was pretty much new and in perfect condition. All the kids had an amazing time in the gymnasium and they even provided Musical Tots to keep both the kids and adults entertained. Once again all the delicious food was catered by my friend Chris Wong from Breakroom, think Mexican Corn (for the adults), beef sliders, mac & cheese, and french fries. This time Chris also brought in healthy raw cold-pressed juices from Juicery New York, that was the first to go.
And of course the dessert table is not complete without an amazing cake for the centerpiece. As per usual I had my favorite baker, Kris Shum from Kakes by Krisota create a masterpiece for the party. Whatever I’ve envisioned she made, so talented! The mini:licious themed 3D fondant cake was really yummy too, thanks for the cake!
A special thanks to the talented Adri Pioquinto of maskipops by adri for making all the yummy and cute cake pops, chocolate dipped Oreos and rice krispie treats, and sending it all the way from LA! That was super sweet, so glad to have your creations at the party. Although it was all too cute to eat, I had way too many ha! Since my goddaughter Lilian’s 2nd birthday last August, I’ve been obsessed with custom shaped macarons (remember those?). Thanks to Amy Li from Stache of Goods, I curbed that craving. Amy made special mini:licious bear shaped and #1 macarons with Thai iced tea, black sesame and green tea flavors. Sooooo good!
I don’t know how the parents do it but after two hours of running around chasing the minis, I was exhausted already. Luckily there was Vita Coco Cafe to keep the parents awake while the minis kept hydrated with Vita Coco Kids drinks. And as if you’re not stuff yet, there was also popchips for everyone. I can never have enough of those, at least I don’t feel that guilty eating it ha. The super cute party decor was all provided by Chasing Fireflies, a one-stop-shop to get all your party supplies. Thanks CF for making my party planning that much easier, the only difficult part was narrowing down what to get, so much good products.
Last but not least, big thanks to my sponsors for stuffing the gift bags: Shea Moisture, H&M, Vans, Come Clean Soap, Sugarpova, We Are Little Giants, LeSportsac, Happy Family Brands and Chasing Fireflies. Photos taken by Yu-Ming Wu. Thanks to everyone that came and all the sponsors for a successful event.
