For Fall/Holiday 2016, Converse launches a new Counter Climate Collection made for the wet weather. The collection consists of apparel and footwear for men, women and kids featuring classic designs with premium weatherized features. The weatherized materials consists of: water repellent canvas, rubber and leather, and waterproof neoprene.
There are three categories that make up the collection: Shield Canvas, Rubber and Boots – these collections are made for unpredictable inclement weather. The Shield Canvas sneakers have been given a durable water repellant (DWR) treatment, perfect for rainy season in NYC and repelling liquids off of your minis shoes!
The first drop for the Fall/Holiday 2016 Converse Counter Climate Collection will be the ‘Shield Canvas,’ featuring two colorways of the Chuck II Kids shoes. Similar to the adult version of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II, a kids’ version has been introduced boasting the same innovative features. This new silhouette integrates the water repellant Shield Canvas and gusseted tongue helping keep feet dry on rainy days on the school playground and when splashing through puddles.
