Last night City Point, Kids Foot Locker and Haddad Brands presented its BKLYN ROCKS; a “see now, buy now” kids fashion show at 445 Albee Square in Downtown Brooklyn, hosted by Grammy nominated artist Fabolous. The fashion featured Haddad Brands top brands Converse, Jordan, Levi’s and Nike, it also benefited Fab’s charity.
Fabolous comments about the upcoming event, “Brooklyn is all about pride. I’ve been in the hip-hop game over 10 years, and it represents Brooklyn: the energy, the passion, the voice. It’s an honor to join these great companies in representing my town, taking this event to Downtown Brooklyn and spotlighting The Fabolous Foundation’s mission.”
The fashion show kicked off with a pre-show performance by Street Justice Crew and Bobbi Chambers of Broadway’s School of Rock performed mid-show. Twins Amira and Kayla of DJ Little Club Heads were on the 1s and 2s throughout the event. Talent walking the runway included children of athletes, and celebrities such as Carter, Cyia and Jaden Sabathia; Jalen Jeter, Jack and Jasmine Barker, and many other budding fashionistas.
The event will further A Fabolous Way’s mission to empower and inspire a culture of achievement for New York City communities where opportunities are few and far between. As part of the event donation, the show will launch City Point’s BKLYN BORN collection, a tribute to borough pride, which will be sold with 40 percent of proceeds benefiting A Fabolous Way.
